The Siri Shortcuts made a debut with iOS 15 update last year. You can create a Siri shortcut for different functions on your iPhone as per your needs. Let us show you how to create one for sending WhatsApp messages without adding a number. Step 1: Open the Shortcuts app on your iPhone.
Step 2: Tap the Plus icon at the top-right corner to create a new Shortcut.
Step 3: Tap on Add Action.
Step 4: Type Ask for Input in the Search bar and select it.
Step 5: After adding the action, tap on Text to change the action.
Step 6: Select Number from the list of options.
Step 7: Tap on Prompt and give this action a name of your choice. We have named the action as ‘Text WhatsApp number.’ Step 8: For the second action, tap on Set Variable and write the same label name in Variable Name i.e. Text WhatsApp number. Step 9: Tap on Provided Input and select URL as Provided Input Type from the pop-up menu. Step 10: Now tap the Search Bar at the bottom, type URL, and select the option to add it as the third action. Step 11: Type http://api.whatsapp.com/send?phone=1 in the URL field and tap on Done button on the keyboard. The last digit in the link is your country’s dialing code.
Step 12: Tap the Plus icon next to the URL to add a Variable.
Step 13: Select your variable name (Text WhatsApp number) from the suggestions above the keyboard.
Step 14: Lastly, add the fourth action by searching for Open URL in the Search Bar and selecting it.
Step 15: After adding all the actions, tap on Done in the top-right corner.
Your Siri Shortcut to send a WhatsApp message without adding the number has been created. If you don’t see the Shortcut named as per your preferred label, here’s how to rename it. Step 1: Long-press on the Siri Shortcut icon in the Shortcuts app.
Step 2: Select Rename.
Step 3: Change the name of your Siri Shortcut and tap on Done.
Let us now use your newly created Siri Shortcut. Step 1: Tap the Spotlight Search icon on your iPhone’s home screen or swipe down on the home screen to open Spotlight Search.
Step 2: Type the name of your Siri Shortcut and tap on it.
Step 3: When the Shortcut appears on the top, type in the number for sending a WhatsApp message. Then tap on Done.

To send a WhatsApp message, you can use the WhatsApp Short Link feature on your Android phone, which you will see on different apps and websites. This feature is free to send WhatsApp messages without adding phone numbers. Step 1: Open your preferred browser app on your Android phone. Step 2: In the Search Bar, type https://wa.me/phone number with country code and tap on Enter.
For example, https://wa.me/919876543210. Step 3: When you see the WhatsApp prompt in the browser, tap on Continue.
